Ms. Goff has over twenty five years experience in defining and developing opportunities and solving problems for large organizations; she is a sales, marketing, business development, and financial management leader and advocate. After beginning her career in public accounting and corporate finance - she received her CPA certificate while with KPMG – she returned to school to earn her MBA from the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley in Marketing and Strategic Planning. She was recruited into IBM’s premier sales organization while she was establishing a corporate market research and development function for a start up company recently acquired by IBM. After eight successful years in strategic sales and marketing with rapid promotions and increasing management responsibility she shifted her focus for the next seven years to consulting and managing complex project design and deployment; she concentrated on marketing, sales, and financial management initiatives. Ms Goff received numerous IBM management leadership awards for consistently achieving high client satisfaction while exceeding business objectives. Ms. Goff managed IBM’s team of over 70 architects, project managers, and IT specialists developing e-business custom solutions in the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest regions. Before leaving IBM Laura was recruited into the founding business development team for the pioneering utility computing initiative; she led the teaming with key business partners and VC firms to establish the initial portfolio of application offerings for the small and medium business marketplace; she pioneered IBM’s sponsorship of software-as-a-service offerings and received a General Manager’s commendation - one of only two in the U.S. - for her team’s inaugural year success.

While Laura has been focused for many years on the new initiatives and revenue generating functions of large organizations, she maintains her interest in – and commitment to – financial management. She believes that her financial grounding and management expertise are particularly valuable when designing, proposing, and leading large, complex initiatives.

She maintains her CPA license and is adjunct faulty at USF’s Graduate School of Business and Management and at Dominican University’s School of Business, Education, and Leadership in Marin County. She serves on the Board and as Treasurer of SofTECH, the North Bay non-profit professional association for software and information technology professionals.
